I'll speak English for a moment. I will not, however, take time to use correct grammar. :P
I was at Redwood Christian Park for Oct 9, 10, and 11. It was all about a Men's conference called "2009 Central Valley Men's Conference". I shall post photos of this whole adventure. Redwood Christian Park is a huge campground which serves 200 Christian groups a year. Endless activities. The camp is 30 minutes away from the beach, boardwalk and downtown Santa Cruz. Experienced fabulous men of God preach and support each other. Ate amazing food. Walked through nature, taking photos and being with God. I stayed in the humble Apple Cabin, with my buddy Patrick Mc Motorcycle. He and I traded name tags, making us prayer buddies. Met countless good folks, and gave out about five business cards, to fascinating individuals. I rode in Dick Williams' car on the way there and back. I learned too much about guns and inside jokes, heh. He drives like a maniac! :) Hung out in Tommy Leon's cabin -- a bunch of brothers played Taboo, which is a game where ya' gotta' get people to guess a word. I think Rob's team cheated big time, haha. Maybe mine did, too! I kept score and will never ever tell. :D Ah well I got a free soda out of it, and crashed there by the glowing fireplace. The whole experience was put together by a lot of great guys, most specifically Pastor Steve Brown of Palm Avenue Community Church. Palm Ave is my MAIN Church. Ya hear that, NorthSide?! YOU COLLEGE PUNKS, GET OFF THE LAWN. Can't believe those NorthSide folks, heh heh heh. Nah, I love both Churches. It wouldn't hurt NorthSide to tell more cat jokes, but who am I to talk. Hmm NorthSide...miss that place... Er.. Oh yeah camp. That's enough for now. I look forward to checking out The Link at Palm Ave, as well as the Men's Breakfast Nov14. Contact Tom Sommers.
So.. Check this out, it's the camp website; Website: http://www.redwoodchristianpark.com/
I forgot to return my cabin key. I'll do that Sunday at Palm Ave.
To end this journal entry, is a listing of fun phrases I learned. I hope to try some of these out, but not sure if I have the personality;
* Oh, Lord have Mercy! Glory! Oh mercy mercy.
* Mercy mercy! Preach it pastor!
* Amen thank you Jesus!
* Woooooooo..ooooo...oooooo...ooo..
* Glory to God! Yes yes. Yes Lord!
* Glory!
* Hal, lay, loo, yah!
* Alright sir! Yes sir! Yes, yes, alrighty brothah.
I think that about covers the basics. During the first ten minutes at camp, I knew I would love it, and will be returning next year, hopefully with a bunch of friends.
